Coffee and cheese sounds interesting from a culinary point of view. But coffee in cheese is something that does not yet exist in this form. Amann Kaffee and Käse Moosbrugger have jointly developed this global innovation.
Elaborate production, best raw materials
Coffee cheese: sounds simple, but it’s far from it. The first step is to select the raw materials. It goes without saying that Käse Moosbrugger uses the best milk for production. Amann Kaffee contributes the finest coffee beans produced in its own roasting plant in Schwarzenberg. “It took us quite some time to find the right beans,” says Florian Amann. In the end, the choice fell on a blend from Brazil and Colombia.
Where it says coffee cheese, there is coffee inside
These coffee beans have now been incorporated into the elaborate cheese-making process. As a result, the coffee cheese has also taken on the typical coffee color and is therefore also visually distinct from other cheese products. Stefan Fessler, Managing Director of Käse Moosbrugger, the cheese store in Mäder: “Our coffee cheese is the first to actually contain coffee.” To round off the look, the coffee cheese was given a fine coffee crust with the Amann coffee used. Initial test tastings yielded astonishing reactions. Coffee and cheese in this new combination has been very well received and is opening up a new market. “Coffee lovers don’t necessarily have to be cheese fans and vice versa.” Florian Amann and Stefan Fessler are convinced that this innovation will give a new impetus to enjoyment. Amann coffee cheese is available in all Sutterlüty branches in Vorarlberg, at Käse Moosbrugger in Mäder and in the Amann coffee shops in Dornbirn and Lustenau.
